Strong performance at regionals for U14 Hockey players

The U14 Hockey team travelled to Hurstpierpoint College for their Regional Hockey tournament.

U16 Hockey team compete in regional pools competition

The U16 Headington girls’ hockey team headed to Wellington College for their Regional Hockey Tournament on Thursday 8th November following a fierce battle to make it through the county stage. The squad had three matches throughout the day, with the first a tough opening match against Godolphin and Latimer. Alexia, Eveena and Sophie did a fantastic job through the middle and left hand-side of the pitch, working hard both in attacking and defensive phases.

Cross Country team secure place in nationals after regional performance

On Saturday 10th November the Junior and Inter Cross Country teams traveled to Bedford for the Regional Final of the English Schools Cross Country cup. Despite downpours throughout the day, the girls miraculously managed to stay dry and dodge the rainfall.

The Junior team finished fifth overall, beating St Helen and St Katharine's by one point, Evie, U3, finished fifth, an outstanding achievement against Year 7 and 8 runners. Trinity placed 20th, Mimi 25th, Liv 32nd and Bertie 38th out of 50 runners.

Silver medal for Louise after reaching the final

It was pouring with rain outside but our fencers managed to avoid the downpour with some indoor sporting activity.

Girls were taking part in the County Age Group Foil Championships at the Sri Gupta Singh Centre in Slough organised by the Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire County Fencing Union.

Regional competition snatched away at last minute

On Wednesday 11th October the U18 Headington girls 1st XI headed to Banbury Road North to compete at in County Hockey Tournament. The girls arrived in good spirits looking forward to a tough day ahead.

The first match was against Lord Williams's School, where the Headington girls played and attacked the goal with purpose, finishing the match with a  2-0 win with goals from Alexia and skipper Catherine.

U16 progress to regional finals

On Thursday 4th October the U16 Headington Hockey team went to Banbury Road North to compete for a place in the regional pools competition.

The day began with a match against Cokethorpe, where the Headington squad dominated play from the first whistle. After creating numerous chances they managed to put down a 4-0 win, with three goals from Emma and another from Millie

Social start to the season as Hockey players take on international side

The 1st XI Hockey Team travelled to Tilsey Park, for their first competitive Hockey match of the year against a team packed with international talent.

Their opposition was Craighouse, a Chilean School on tour with Abingdon School. It was a hot day and the game proved a hard battle, with the visitors coming away 6-0 winners. Despite the scoreline, this was an excellent performance for the team's first competitive match together. The Chilean school boasted a number of international players and were a well-drilled outfit.

Emma secures place in U17 squad following trials

A gifted Netball player has won a place in the England Netball U17s squad.

Emma, who is in U5 and plays Netball for Surrey Storm U17s, spent the summer completing a process of trials and tournaments before eventually being selected. Over the course of four days Emma, along with other prospective young netballers, was filmed playing to allow the England selectors to look for future England Roses talent.

She was invited to take part in a summer camp and trials before eventually being selected as one of 15 U17 players in the England Rses Academy.

Girls run, jump and throw in Sports Day

Girls braved blisteringly hot temperatures to take part in our annual Sports Day.

It was a record-breaking event, with more faces than before to allow as many girls as possible to compete and with one school record being broken by Lily in the Junior Shot Put event. House spirit was very much in evidence, with girls liberally applying their house colours to their face, arms and legs to show support.

Victory for U15 Football team

It's celebration time for our footballers after collecting the title of South East Regional Champions.

The U15 Football team travelled tothe U15 South East Regional finals at ACS Cobham. It followed from victory in the U13 South Central final

The girls' first fixture saw the side see off Leighton Park School with a brace from Melissa. The next game against the hosts saw a nervy 0-0 draw. The girls then went on to win their last two group games by 1-0, with Bea and Annie scoring.
